1. Who these terms are with

This website, modularready.com, is operated by Modular Ready LLC of 400 W Market St, Suite 1800, Louisville, KY 40202, USA (“we”, “us”). By browsing the site or placing an order you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to place an order. Our products are sharpened kitchen knives; by ordering you confirm you are of legal age to purchase bladed articles where you live, and that the delivery address is one where such a delivery is lawful.

3. Products and descriptions

We describe our knives as accurately as we can, including steel type, hardness, edge angle and dimensions. Blades are finished by hand, so small variations in the etched pattern, the grain of the pakkawood and the exact weight are normal and are not defects. Product images are representative.

4. Prices and availability

All prices are in US dollars and exclude any sales tax that applies to your delivery state. Prices can change at any time before you place an order, and closing-sale pricing applies only while stock remains.

If an item sells out between you ordering and us packing, we will contact you and either refund that line in full or, if you prefer, substitute another series at the same price. We reserve the right to cancel an order and refund it in full where an item has been listed at an obviously incorrect price, or where we reasonably suspect fraud or resale.

5. Placing an order

Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we send you a dispatch confirmation. Until that point we may decline the order, and we will refund anything taken in full.

We may limit or refuse orders that appear to be for commercial resale. Household orders are limited to ten sets.

6. Payment

On a live store, payment is taken at checkout through a PCI-compliant payment provider, and card details are handled by that provider rather than by us. On this store build no payment is taken and no card details are collected, transmitted or stored. Please do not enter a real card number anywhere on this site.

7. Shipping and delivery

Dispatch times, delivery estimates, tracking, address corrections and lost-parcel handling are set out in full in our Shipping & Delivery Policy, which forms part of these terms. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.

8. Cancellation, returns and refunds

Your cancellation and return rights, the 30-day window, prepaid return labels and refund timings are set out in full in our Refund, Returns & Cancellation Policy, which also forms part of these terms.

9. Safe use

Kitchen knives are sharp tools and carry an obvious risk of injury. You are responsible for using and storing them safely, keeping them away from children, and following the care instructions supplied with the set. We are not liable for injury or damage arising from misuse, from use on inappropriate surfaces, or from modification of a blade after delivery.

10. Warranty

We warrant our knives against manufacturing defects for 12 months from delivery — this covers things like a loose rivet, a warped tang or a bolster gap. It does not cover normal edge wear, corrosion caused by dishwasher use or prolonged soaking, chipping caused by cutting bone, frozen food or non-food materials, or any damage from re-grinding.

11. Acceptable use of this site

You may not scrape, mirror or republish this site, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, interfere with its operation, or use it to transmit anything unlawful. We may withdraw access from anyone who does.

12. Intellectual property

The text, layout, product photography, illustrations, logos and code on this site belong to Modular Ready LLC and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may view and print pages for your own personal use. Any other reproduction, including reuse of our copy or imagery on another storefront, requires our written permission.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability arising out of any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the courts of Jefferson County, Kentucky have jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any right you have to bring a claim where you live.

15. Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published here on the date you place your order.
