In plain terms. This site stores your cart in your own browser and nowhere else. The checkout is a store: nothing you type into it is transmitted to us or to anyone else, and no payment card details are collected, processed or stored.
1. Who we are

For the purposes of data protection law, we are the controller of any personal information described here.
2. What this site stores
In your browser
- Your cart. Which sets you added and how many, kept in your browser's local storage under the key
mr_cart_v1. It never leaves your device and we cannot read it. - Your last demo order. If you complete the store checkout, a summary is written to session storage so the confirmation page can display it. It is discarded when you close the tab.
You can clear both at any time through your browser's “clear site data” controls. Doing so empties your cart and nothing else is affected.
On our servers
Our web host keeps standard access logs — IP address, timestamp, requested page, browser user-agent and referring page. These are used to keep the site running and to investigate abuse, and are retained for 30 days before being deleted.
What we do not collect
- We do not collect, transmit, process or store payment card numbers, expiry dates or security codes. The card fields on the checkout page are validated in your browser only and are discarded when the page unloads.
- We do not run advertising trackers, third-party analytics, social pixels or behavioural profiling on this site.
- We do not sell, rent or share personal information with data brokers.
3. Information you send us directly
If you email or call us, we hold what you send — your name, your email address or phone number, and whatever you tell us — so we can answer. We keep support correspondence for 24 months and then delete it. We use it only to reply to you.
4. Cookies
This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies. The only client-side storage in use is the local and session storage described in section 2, which is functional rather than tracking and is required for a cart to work at all. Because of that, you will not see a consent banner here.

6. Sharing
We share personal information only with our web hosting provider, which processes access logs on our behalf under a written agreement, and with law enforcement where we are legally required to do so. There is no other disclosure and no onward sale.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to object to how we use it, or to be told whether we have sold or shared it. We have not sold or shared personal information in the preceding twelve months.
To exercise any of these, email team@modularready.com. We respond within 30 days and will never charge you or treat you differently for asking. If you are in California, you may also designate an authorised agent to make a request for you.
8. Children
This site sells sharpened blades and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
9. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Because the checkout does not transmit or retain card data, there is no stored payment information to breach. Support correspondence is held in a password-protected mailbox with two-factor authentication.
10. Links out
Where we link to a carrier's tracking page or another external site, that site's own privacy policy applies once you leave here. We have no control over what they collect.
11. Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will also be noted on the homepage for 30 days.
